Two more beaches to consider

Outer Banks Visitors Bureau

1.) Outer Banks
Manteo, N.C.

Description: With history reaching back to Wilbur and Orville Wright's first airplane and the infamous pirate Blackbeard, the Outer Banks has a rich history and unspoiled beaches. Less crowded than many other commercial beaches, groups can escape the throng of people at the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The East Coast's oldest lighthouse on Ocracoke Island is also a wonderful stop when not relaxing on the beach.

2.) Coronado Beach
San Diego, California

A mineral called Mica makes Coronado Beach glisten year round. Well-kept public beaches sit next to a mansions and other gorgeous views. For a wilder experience, guests can go to Silver Strand State Beach just 4.5 miles south of Coronado Village. While in the water, many beachgoers enjoy surfing, boogie boarding, swimming and hunting for wildlife in tidepools.
